Hello-hello! Today I’m gonna tell you about a very funny idiom ‘You killed it’. No, you didn’t murder anybody or you didn’t kill anybody, you didn’t do anything bad. But you did something well. You did something good!

For example, the exam was very hard and you were preparing for it for so much time! And eventually you passed it. So you say ‘Oh, I killed it! I was really good there’.

Or at the presentation at work you did your best, your presentation went great. And after that your colleagues tell you ‘You killed it! We definitely have this client!’, for example.

Or in any situation when you did something good you say ‘I killed it’. When your friend did something good you say ‘Oh, you killed it’. Or you also can say ‘She killed it, we killed it, they killed it’. So anybody killed it – it means ‘Somebody did something great’.

I hope that was useful. Bye-bye!
